SysOps / Cloud Operations Engineers (Mid to Senior Level)

Job Description

As a SysOps / Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Cloud Resource Management: Monitor and manage cloud resources and services.

Incident Response: Handle and resolve cloud service incidents and disruptions.

Security and Compliance: Enforce cloud security protocols and compliance measures.

Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud service usage and costs.

Automation: Develop automation scripts and solutions for operational tasks.

Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy and maintain applications and services within the cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring: Continually monitor cloud services and infrastructure for availability and performance.

Incident Management: Respond to and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Security Management: Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and tools to protect cloud services and data.

Cost Management: Monitor and optimize resource utilization to control operational costs.

Automation and Optimization: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to optimize operational processes.

Deployment and Configuration: Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications and services within the cloud environment.

Compliance Management: Ensure that cloud services comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.

Skills

*Expertise in AWS Services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambdas, CloudFormation etc

Excellent spoken English

Knowledge and experience in using Agile principles.

Proven hands-on skills in working on Linux environments.

Proven experience in maintaining Databases and to optimise larger datasets with the collaboration of software team.

Knowledge of cybersecurity will be considered a plus.

Ability to lead and influence a team in agile ways and put different hats on. 

Demonstration of leadership skills, ownership and ability to provide technical guidance.

Ability to work collaboratively with teams, articulate complex technical concepts, and facilitate clear and efficient information sharing.

Proof of strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage complex issues, and adaptability in changing situations.

Eagerness for continuous learning and development.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
