Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

We have an entrepreneurial environment and our focus is on delivering results for our clients. We believe in teamwork and will provide you with the support and tools required to succeed in your role.As an Assistant Manager- Finance your specific duties and responsibilities will include:

Function as accountant / bookkeeper for clients of the firm.

Maintain and record clients accounting books (general ledgers)

Assume responsibility for data the integrity and entrance of data into client accounting systems.

Prepare supplier / purchase invoicespayment vouchers and updatepayable ledgers.

Process customer invoices and update account receivable ledgers.

Create and maintain Fixed Assets Registers.

Maintain, review and book employee reimbursements.

Review vouch and book petty cash expenses into client accounting systems.

Review and reconcile all bank statement for review by AVP/VP.

Responsible for accruals and provisions and monthly book closing for review byAVP/VP.

Responsible for provision of accurate and timely financial information for submission to the AVP/VP.

Prepare client periodic trial balance, balance sheet, income statement for review by AVP/VP.

Assist the AVP/VPwith the preparation and processing of Financial reports and Financial Statements.

Assist the AVP/VPwith the preparation of regulatory returns and timely submission.

Assist client to meet external and internal auditor’s needs including ledgers, reportsand schedules.

Assist with other assigned duties including accounting, internal audit client or administration roles.

Skills and Experience

Experience (is essential to any successful application)

Big four experience is a plus.

Must be a familiar with IFRS accounting standards.

Experience or knowledge of sales tax / VAT.

Strong experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Experience of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle etc. is an advantage.
