DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Job Description

This is an onsite job based in Karachi

Our client is looking for multiple platforms experienced DevOps Engineer (AWS) for one of our partners in the US to join our fast-paced development team. Overall, you will work closely with the entire technology team.  We are looking for people who have experience in dealing with International Customers. We are much focused on accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness as you seamlessly fit within our sprint process and agile methodology. You will be asked to take the initiative on your workload, so self-motivation is a must.

Job Description/Role:

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently on projects, in addition to the technical aptitude for the position. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical and technical staff, understanding, product architecture, infrastructure setup, installation/deployment and end usage models, technical troubleshooting of technical issues and providing effective resolution.

Understanding of micro-service architecture

Basic understanding of Python and React Native & React JS

Work in highly collaborative operations team to streamline the process of implementing security Confidential AWS cloud environment and introduce best practices for remediation

Experienced in building, deploying and integrating Python based back-end and react based web and mobile applications

Assign RBAC policies Confidential group level and user level as per the LTA created for the services implement new (Automation account, scheduler, notification hub, IOT Hubs, Batch and other services)

Use Service-Now tool for managing incidents and change request tickets

Experience in troubleshooting the database connection issues on incremental deployments

Provide status to Business Level management and Technical and conducting Proof of Concept for Latest AWS cloud-based service

Exposure to monitoring and diagnostic tools Grafana, AWS Cloud watch, Cloud Trail etc.

Work on implementing Continuous Integration and deployment is a Must.

Conduct Dry-Run Tests to ensure fool-proof execution of customized scripts before execution in production environments.

Work on implementing backup methodologies by ELK, AWS SQL Database, Key Vault, Storage blobs, App Services etc.

Act as build and release engineer, deployed the services On Amazon AWS. Create and Maintain pipelines to manage the IAC for all the applications

Skills

Good communication skills

Experience with Docker images, multi-container environment

Experience with GitHub Actions is must

Experience with Kubernetes is must

Experience with PostgreSQL, Carto dB, MySQL database

Experience in cache management using Redis or at least knowledge of how to deploy in CI/CD Environment.

Understand the latest features like (AWS DevOps, OMS, NSG Rules, etc.) introduced by AWS and utilized it for existing business applications

Work on GIT to maintain source code in GitHub repositories

Proficient with AWS services: Compute and Network, Storage (S3 Bucket with valt) and CDN, Database, Analytics, Application Services, Deployment, and Management 

Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking 

Familiarity interacting with AWS APIs 

AWS Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions a plus 

Work with Docker, OpenSearch is a must

Experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming (Ansible,  Jenkins, Python, React Native & React Js)
