Job Description

Install, configure, upgrade Oracle Server software. Start, stop and monitor applications. Ensure Data backup, recovery policies, procedures. Implement Database Security and maintain it. Perform Database and application tuning along with Performance monitoring.

1. Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.

2. Monitoring the application related products like Red hat Linux OS, workflow manager, concurrent manager, workflow mailer etc.

3. Bouncing services if needed

4. Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.

5. Take care of the Database design and implementation.

6. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain app users and roles, assign privileges).

7. Create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments

8. Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 support when required

9. Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.

10. Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.

11. Patch Management and Version Control.

12. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.

13. Allocate system storage and plan future storage needs

14. Perform application tuning and performance monitoring.

15. Cloning DEV and TEST from PROD.

16. Mange RMAN backups full/incremental

17. Mange Archiver to assure Zero data loss recovery

18. Manage DR site using data guard

19. 6 monthly DR drill management

20. Load balancing and clustering experience
